About the project

After building my Airbus A319 cockpit based on the Wilco Airbus aircraft add-on for Microsoft FSX and it taking up my entire spare bedroom I have decided that I am going to build a Lockheed-Martin F-22 Raptor fighter cockpit which will use the IRIS F-22 model which I must say is a very lovely add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator X.

You can find out more information about the Lockhead-Martin F22 over at Wikipedia.

Why?

Well why not? – I personally love flying on flight simulators… I love the scenery that you can see outside the aircraft and with various scenery packs etc. it really does look very realistic!

Resources for others

Below are some links to resources for others building home cockpits or specifically a home cockpit based on the IRIS F-22 Raptor.

To be able to assign the physical switches and buttons I had to develop a LUA module for FSUIPC as the aircraft model uses some custom LVAR’s that I could not access using the standard MS FSX controls list. Full source code and documentation can be access and downloaded from my Github project page.
